Love trying new beers? Head over to the Sierra Nevada Mini Tap Takeover 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Silver Coast Winery Tasting Room, 105 S. Howe St., Southport. Sierra Nevada, now brewing in the Tar Heel State, will offer tastes of their three new beers: Hop Hunter IPA, Nooner Pilsner and Beer Camp Hoppy Lager. Pair those up with something from the Vittles food truck and you’ve got yourself a full evening.
